Young people and parents can now access fast, confidential health advice through local School Nursing text services.
ChatHealth is a dedicated text service for young people, offering support on a wide range of issues including mental wellbeing, relationships, bullying, healthy lifestyles, anxiety, substance use, and sexual health. Messages are sent to a secure system and responded to by a qualified school nurse, with replies usually within 24 hours. The service runs Monday to Friday, 9am–4.30pm (excluding bank holidays). A separate ParentChat service is also available, providing advice and reassurance for parents and carers on concerns such as behaviour, sleep, bullying, emotional wellbeing, toileting, and general health needs. School nurses can offer guidance or signpost to further support, with responses typically within 48 hours. Parent text number: 07312 263059
Both services are confidential, though information may be shared if there are concerns about safety.
