We are a training practice and as such we support the teaching of medical students.
We will be having medical students in practice on a rotational basis now for the next 5 years as we partner with the Three Counties Medical School based in Worcester.
When you request an appointment, you may be offered one with a medical student.
The appointment will be longer than you may usually have a with a GP, and the student may ask you more questions than you are used to. They will gather information from you primarily and discuss your condition with their supervising doctor who will then see you as well.
A medical student is not a qualified doctor and so the supervising doctor will be responsible for your care, while the medical student is supported in their learning.
We ask that you are open to the idea of being seen by a medical student as this is how we support the next generation of doctors. The students learning now, could be the GPs of the future!
