Here at Mann Cottage Surgery we place great emphasis on promoting good health to our patients. As part of this, we are introducing a series of ‘Health Walks’ in and around the Moreton-in-Marsh area which will start from the end of April.
Our GPs and staff will take part when available, but we are seeking volunteers to undergo a free one-day training course to enable them to help local people on the walks. These 30-60 minute walks will start and end from Mann Cottage Surgery and will be around the lovely Moreton-in-Marsh area. People of all ages will be welcome; Mums and toddlers, young people, as well as the more ‘mature' amongst us! The walks will of course be tailored to individual ability, which is where our volunteers come in, to keep an eye on everyone. Details of the routes and dates will be published very soon.
As well as increasing fitness, the aim is to give everyone an opportunity to meet new people and have a good old chat along the way! Refreshments will be available back at Four Shires Medical Centre at the end of each walk.
If you would like to help get involved in the scheme, please either contact Angela at the Surgery (details below—Monday to Thursday) or Pam on 07930 712381. We will pass on your details to our trainer and a date will be organised for the session.
Thank you and we look forward to getting the walks underway very soon!
